Those are very christian thoughts you have there, my friend.

It would be great if they got rid of those screaming bitches in the audience. Maynard should have systematically removed them. A song is a song. Fuck what it’s about if it sounds good. Songs are Porno. Who cares what any of it really stands for or says, as long as it turns you on. Listen to the badass girl that does tool piano covers if you like this.

    @Charybdys

If anything Tool, Maynard specifically, opposed Christianity you ignorant dickface.
So to sing a song about something means, specifically, thats one hundred percent what you believe? Asshole.

  9. danielmarkovits on December 26th, 2009

just not informed well :) :-j

Opiate is an ironic song bro…

“Jesus Christ why don’t you come save my life.” is an ironic verse… (Maynard always was an atheist). Tool never was a christian band :).The things and cults they are inspiring from have nothing to do with christianity :).Have a nice day. Tool 4 life!

    Beautiful
what more really is there to say

  13. Charybdys on December 26th, 2009

I always knew Gaynard was a fucking lesbian Muslim. Go eat Muhammad’s (PBUH) shit. It tastes like falafel.

Get your bald head out yer’ ass Maynard. You guys were so cool back when you were a Christian band.

“Jesus Christ why don’t you come save my life.”
But then by the time the Gaping Lotus Experience happens, they turn Satanic. Oh so trendy!

@bigbadmandontmess You are one of the dumbest people I have ever come across in my life. 1. Pop culture crap like RIHANNA is a plague on the intellect of our planet. 2. Whether you are a Tool/APC/Puscifer fan or not, you have to not only respect, but be in awe of Maynards LITERALLY perfect baritone vibrato voice. If you do not then you do not have the right to listen to and appreciate REAL music.
What a nightmare it is in the new millennium where we tolerate songs about the rims on our cars.

obviously I’d rather listen to the musician play the music. OBVIOUSLY.

but, if you’re overcome with hormones or drunk as hell or god know’s what…..I would still much rather enduring people trying to sing a long instead of just SCREAMING….

Didn’t think my point was that hard to grasp

  17. LeviathanoftheDanube on December 26th, 2009

@d33pS3Ad1v3r seriously? i would rather much listen to just maynard and tori - can’t tell you how many really good live performances have been ruined by some idiota standing next to me thinking he can sing and drowning out the good shit! glad he’s enjoying the music but making it worse for me : )

  18. d33pS3Ad1v3r on December 26th, 2009

they are screaming over superficial shit. swooning just to see an entity. They’re obviously not concerned about the music…I’ve been to many, many gigs and fans can make alot of noise - like SINGING A LONG etc. Why couldn’t these wretched little tramps give that a go ?

  19. cemorym on December 26th, 2009

  22. 21reasons on December 26th, 2009

two of my favorite singers here with only a piano. This crowd is destroying all the magic. Was there a boyband as a support act?

  23. PlayerHater117 on December 26th, 2009

You could tell he was annoyed by the girls

  24. Wrathbone13 on December 26th, 2009

4 everyone talking about the screaming girls: this was recorded in the 90’s at a RAIN benefit, they were cheering for two of the greatest singers in recent decades. It’s a harsh reminder of the sad state music has fallen into as girls are now screaming for talentless corporate hacks & misogynistic ‘gangstas.’ Girls will always scream their adoration, it’s a good thing that in this video that adoration was well-placed. And I’ve said it before, Tori needs a guest spot on the next Tool album.
