everyone is intitled to there own opinion and my opinion is that music should be original and yes you are right; you listen to music because you enjoy it, so do i, but hearing a song that i know was done in the past makes the artist today look like he/she cant come up with something better.
i don’t think music has to be original because i listen to music because i like it, not to learn about music history. i don’t give a flying fuck if someone else did a version. a can’t and will never compare them because every artist is different. so their version of the song will be different.
